News » 04.07.2025 - 16 fruits and vegetables power new skincare line
We used to talk about feeding the world when we discussed the increasing need for greenhouse vegetables, but now… let's talk about feeding your face. Beauty brand Lush has launched a new range of 'fresh' skincare, all powered by vegetables. We've seen cucumbers in eye masks before, but this takes things to a whole new level: there's seaweed, lettuce, lime, daisy flower, radish, rice milk, figs, and even acorn jelly. It's as if your weekly harvest list moonlighted as a skincare routine.
"We put the whole fruit in", the brand proudly says, and indeed, the product line reads like a fever dream from a farmers' market. The company whipped up face masks with fresh figs, lettuce, pumpkin, and even radish — proving once and for all that your veg might secretly be trying to get out of the salad bowl and into showbiz.
Avocados are now softening skin instead of toast. Parsley has traded its garnish duties to firm foreheads. Turnips, once underappreciated and misunderstood, are suddenly the heroes of hydration. We're not saying your crops have a secret life, but if you catch your kale posing under the grow lights, maybe don't be surprised. After all — they've always been good for people. Now, they're just good for people's pores, too.
