At the heart of Proflora 2025, one "must-see" event stands out: The Outstanding Varieties Competition—a global showdown of innovation, creativity, and floral excellence that defines what's next in floriculture.

From October 1–3, 2025, Bogotá will welcome over 7,000 attendees from around 60 countries and 300 exhibiting companies from 15 countries. But what sets Proflora apart is its reputation as the stage for unveiling the varieties of the future.

The Outstanding Varieties Competition is where growers and breeders from Colombia and around the world bring their best variety of flowers to compete across 19 categories—including roses, chrysanthemums, hydrangeas, carnations, tropicals, and more. A distinguished international jury will evaluate over 420 floral entries based on innovation, aesthetic quality, vitality, sanitary condition, and vase life.
