Director John Torenstra and consultant Will van der Kraan were recently at the annual China Greenhouse Horticulture Industry Conference on behalf of HS Tuinbouw Service. The company is carrying out greenhouse maintenance in China, through a joint venture with Flexibell Systems.

Through Flexibell Systems, greenhouse builders get access to certified Dutch components and services in China.

HS Tuinbouw Service had the chance to talk about the importance of preventive annual greenhouse maintenance at the event in Lanzhou. John explains why the Westland company heading towards China: "We are a frontrunner in the growing market there. Our specialists can be deployed worldwide. There is an ever-increasing demand for greenhouse maintenance specialists."

At the greenhouse maintenance specialist, they notice Chinese growers' need for maintenance to reduce downtime, and a need for good delivery conditions and a better product.

HS Horticulture Service is exploring options with Flexibell Systems to set up a joint venture. "We will send inspectors, as well as a drone pilot, implementers, and team leaders who will set up the business there. We will start doing maintenance in cooperation with Flexibell Systems' locally based mechanics."
