News » 27.10.2026 - Tropical Storm Rachel causes significant damage at Pacifica Farms in Mexico

Pacifica Farms has suffered significant damage following the landfall of Tropical Storm Rachel in Ensenada, Baja California, on October 10. Flooding at Finca Ramona, home to the company's post-harvest facility, severely affected production areas, dry-goods inventory, and cold storage rooms.

At approximately 2:00 a.m. on October 10, the waterway behind the property overflowed, flooding the Finca Ramona site and causing extensive damage. Other Pacifica Farms growing locations across Ensenada were also substantially affected by the storm.

The company is currently focused on assessing the damage, cleaning up affected areas, and restoring operations, with employee safety remaining its top priority. At the same time, Pacifica Farms is developing a production plan for the coming days and weeks.

"We recognize that these disruptions may affect current and upcoming orders, and we are committed to keeping you informed as we evaluate inventory, production capacity, and shipping schedules. Our team will provide regular updates and communicate any necessary adjustments as soon as possible," shares the team.

"During this challenging time, we ask for your continued patience, understanding, and support. We are incredibly grateful for the strength of our farming community and the partnership we share with each of you.

While the road to recovery will take time, we remain committed to rebuilding quickly and continuing to provide the quality products and service you expect from us.
Thank you for standing with us. We will keep you informed as our recovery progresses."
