On 10th of may 2005 the meeting of representatives of the commercial organizations of European exporters, who are working in conjunction with the Russian Federation, was held in Leidschendam. During this meeting the parties came to a decision to form the union, 'Euro-Russian Agricultural Exports Union'. It was also decided that the following Union should assist in organisation of stable export to the Russian Federation. The parties concluded that they are to join their efforts in co-ordination to make joint decisions which are directed at the creation of effective mechanisms to aid export of agricultural products to the Russian Federation in accordance with phytosanitary standards of the importer's country. Also covered in this meeting, was the need to maximize the quality of goods, the development of a civilized market relation in relationship to economical external activities.
The aim of the Union: solution of problems which can occur during the activities which are related to the export of flowers, plants, fruits and vegetables, to facilitate the development of the economical activity of its members and contribute to the improvement and growth of its results.
